The Wither Hills Farm Park is named after early land owner, Charles Bigg Wither, and includes over 1100 hectares of rolling to steep hill country. The Farm Park is enjoyed by thousands of locals and visitors each year with over 60 kms of walking tracks and mountain bike trails on offer. The Farm Park is a working farm, so please respect stock, and take note of danger warning signs including fire signs.
Allow up to five hours to explore Marlborough, Wither Hills Farm Park with a leisurely day walk enjoying panoramic views of Wellington’s south coast, Wairau Lagoon and sweeping views of Blenheim and the braided river flats of Canterbury.
Wither Hills walking tracks
Mount Vernon
A popular trail for photographers with panoramic views of vineyards and the Marlborough braided river flats. Amazing sunsets. The Mount Vernon track is a steep continuous climb up a ridge. There is a water station at the top signalling to hikers you are on the right track. The trail is well signposted. There is no water at the summit so carry plenty of supplies especially in the hot Marlborough summer. Access from Redwood Street. A carpark is located at the trailhead.

Wither Hills Farm Park
The park is a working farm managed by the local government. The Wither Hills Farm Park offers a brilliant range of walking and mountain biking tracks on a 1,100ha working sheep and cattle farm just minutes from Blenheim’s CBD. Walking tracks lead to views of Blenheim and the Wairau Valley, and Cloudy Bay. There are short easy strolls along the base of the hills.
Cycle, bike Wither Hills trails
There are trails from the easy single track Rifle Range Trail along the base of the hills and the challenging Mt Vernon Traverse over the ridgelines. You can ride to the park from Blenheim centre, using the Taylor River Trail to the Taylor Dam Reserve.
