We are proud to welcome you to our home in the heart of Puhoi Village.

Puhoi River Kayaks has been operating since 1995 and is an established tourist attraction in Puhoi, the little historic settlement only 35 minutes drive north of Auckland.

We offer a safe leisurely un-guided paddle along the Puhoi River which meanders 8km from the Bohemian village of Puhoi through to the scenic Wenderholm Regional Park.

We supply superior kayaks, buoyancy aids, paddling instruction, local river knowledge and a courtesy coach from Wenderholm to Puhoi. We have kayaks or canoes to suit the whole family and cater to almost all ages and fitness levels.

Getting to Puhoi River Kayaks

Puhoi River Kayaks are based We are based in the heart of the Puhoi Village at 84 Puhoi Road, opposite the Historic Puhoi Church.

Directions to Puhoi Via Toll Road

  • Follow the northern Motorway (SH1) 39km to the end.
  • After tunnels continue north on SH1 1km turn left at Puhoi Historic Village turn-off.
  • Drive 1km into Village – we are on right opposite Historic Church.
