Located between Anchorage and Torrent Bay, your detour takes you through a native forest canopy with the sound of rushing water indicating you are getting nearer to the action.
The rock pools are part of the Torrent River canyon with waterfalls, rapids and tumbling rockscapes. The sun kissed boulders are a great place to relax and watch people sliding down the rock chute into the pools below.
Care does need to be taken as there could be sharp rocks beneath the chute.

The easiest way to get to Cleopatra’s Pool, Abel Tasman National Park is via water taxi to Anchorage Bay on a pre-booked day trip.
Hike 5 km to Cleopatra’s Pool and return on the same route to your water taxi pick up.
The Torrent River water is unfiltered, carry water and do not drink the river water. Cleopatra’s Pool is a feature in the Abel Tasman National Park’s best walks.
