Cecil Peak a mountain range across Lake Wakatipu from Queenstown Cecil Peak a mountain range across Lake Wakatipu from Queenstown

Southern Alps, beautiful Lake Wakatipu and majestic mountains. Queenstown offers adrenaline rush white knuckle activities, vineyards and sophisticated award winning restaurants and cafes for a spot of gift shopping. Or two days exploring the crystal deep blue lakes and alpine scenery, perhaps encountering New Zealand’s alpine cheeky parrot, the Kea.  Finish your top to bottom of New Zealand with a promise to return.

TIP

Indulge in a helicopter flight over the Southern Alps, the glaciers and waterfalls.

View of Queenstown and lake Wakatipu

TIP

Want an adventure, go off-road and explore 19th century gold mining trails. Fantastic way to gulp more fresh air (positively bracing and a bit chilly even in summer) and enjoy the day on a heritage trail with outstanding scenic views as a bonus.

FAMILIES AND KIDS

Queenstown is designed to keep kids entertained. You will have a hard time choosing.

ROMANCE

Starry nights, a beautiful lake and plenty of places for a leisurely brunch. Your celebration moments are sorted.

NOT RECOMMENDED

A whistle stop tour of Fiordland. From either Queenstown or Arrowtown there is considerable road travel involved. Most of the day will be spent in a bus. Fiordland is spectacular and deserves a chance for you to unwind and relax in the unforgettable scenery of a UNESCO world heritage park. Not spend most of your time on a bus.
