Dunedin offers rhododendrons ideal growing conditions creating one of New Zealand’s glorious spring displays of mature flowering tree plants.
One of Dunedin’s hidden treasures, the specialist rhododendron collection at Tannock Glen has been built up since 1975 by members of the Dunedin Rhododendron Group. A large number of rare species collected from the wild plus choice local hybrids are able to be seen from the gravelled paths through the four acre site. Mature trees and unusual shrubs complement this magical woodland garden overlooking the Dunedin harbour.
