This historic building has been converted into a bunkroom associated with the Great Walk campsite. It has bunks and mattresses but no heating or cooking facilities. Campers must use the nearby shelters to prepare meals. Whakahoro Campsite facilites have been upgraded.

If you are using the bunkroom in connection with the Whanganui Journey you need to book your bunk bed using the online booking system and you should check the fees and conditions page. If you are not using it as part of the Whanganui Journey then the fee is $10.
