Raglan, with its active Raglan Old School Arts Centre is home to a popular monthly creative market with the best of Raglan-Whaingaroa food, crafts and art. Other summer pop up markets include a growers market, evening eats and a hot favourite the annual Raglan Art Weekend.

@Raglan Summer Markets

The Raglan Creative Market held in the Old School Arts Centre, a monthly market held the 2nd Sunday of each month.

Community life is the breath of the Raglan Old School Arts Centre with films, workshops, events, creative weekend market, clay shed, an art collective and venue for hire.

The old School Arts Centre is the hub and beginning for the art trail, see travel pack section for Raglan Art Trail Brochure.

In summer keep your eyes out for pop up markets such as a Raglan Growers Market and a Raglan Summer Vibes Market is a pop up market in Raglan’s town centre focused on evening eats. Evening Eats is Raglan’s first food-only night market. Evening Eats operates once per month on Saturday during the peak summer months.  In the past the market has been plagued with closures so check beforehand to avoid disappointment.

Raglan Arts Weekend

The Raglan Arts Weekend is the highlight of the Raglan arts calendar.

Traditionally held late January, around 30 artists exhibit over the three days, showcasing an impressive range of painting, ceramics, photography, jewellery and wearable art.

The footbridge connects the two sides of the estuary inlet, the streets are fringed with mature trees and local sculptures add a personal note to the postcard town appearance.
