Orana Wildlife Park is New Zealand’s only open range zoo. The Park has been developed as an open range sanctuary for endangered animals, providing them with enclosures as close to their natural habitat as possible. Over 400 animals from 70 different species are displayed and there are various daily encounters allowing up close experiences with the animals.

 

 

An ultimate day out year round with the dedicated Orana Park team.  Orana is justifiably proud of Orana’ss involvement in zoo-based breeding programmes for endangered exotic and native species. When you visit, you are supporting the Park’s conservation work.

Orana Wildlife fosters greater understanding of both native and exotic wildlife. Enjoy the meet, greet and feeling connected to the welfare of Christchurch’s wildlife inhabitants as you walk or join a guided shuttle tour with guides chatting about their charges.

A range of guided tours are provided daily to enhance the visit experience.
