Waihi is a town where the gold rush of the 1880’s to 1950’s has left an indelible mark and the dedicated volunteers apty capture the story of the rush to find gold. The Arts Centre has a dual role as a gallery and a theater. The arts centre is also known as the WAIHI GOLD MINING MUSEUM.
