Lake Rotokare

Lake Rotokare walks are family friendly beginning at the picnic area The lake is New Zealand’s longest man made lake, two public boat ramps with access for water skiers and wake boarders. The lake is managed by a community trust (volunteers), the Rotokare Trust welcomes donations to continue to support visitors and wildlife. Rotokare Scenic Reserve Trust requests that Rotokare Scenic Reserve is open all day, every day to the public. Please remember to stop before entering the gates to check your vehicles, bags, and boats for pests and predators and remember to leave your pets at home.
