Discover where you can go fishing in Auckland. Lake Pupuke, nestled in urban Auckland is an ancient volcanic crater lake with an intriguing heart shaped outline. The lake is host to numerous swimming, diving, boating and fishing activities. Pupuke is between Takapuna and Milford suburbs.
NOTE
Killarney Park, Henderson Park, Sylvan Park, Kitchener Park and Quarry Lake Reserve are all part of the lake boundaries creating pockets of green spaces, playgrounds and facilities. The walkway track around the lake is approximately 6.5 km circumference. From September to December the path from Henderson Park to Sylvan Park is closed to allow the water birds space to nest and breed. You will enjoy the water views, watching water sports and bird life.
