Te Puia, is home to the largest active geyser in the Southern Hemisphere, Pōhutu Geyser, as well as the New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute. The institute trains the next generation of artists from around the country. This is one of the only places in Rotorua where you can witness master carvers bringing their work to life.
