Slope Point

Adjacent to the Waipapa car park you will see signage for Slope Point. Access is via a walking track. It is an extraordinary environment with trees  permanently bent at right angles, trunks are bleached by the winter southerly providing a stark contrast to the farmed landscape.   Slope point is another southern landmark and for instagram geographical points a photo moment.  The dramatic cliffs soar over tumultuous ocean waves pounding the coast.

• Access: Gravel road (signposted Haldane-Curio Bay Rd) follows signs.

• Closed: lambing season (Sept-Nov)
