Afternoon ferry to Devonport / lunch in cafes, wander heritage Devonport and visit Naval Museum

Bungy off sky tower and climb the Harbour Bridge (morning)
Kayak to Rangitoto Island and climb the summit for panoramic views of the harbour and city (afternoon)
Skydive over the Kaipara Harbour or visit

Family fun

Rangitoto Island cruise to a recently erupted volcano (600 years ago)
Auckland War Memorial museum has plenty of kids focused activities and there is a good gift shop with reasonably priced souvenirs for the kids collection
Hop on & hop off bus is a superb way to get around without the need of a rental vehicle
