Your day starts with a scenic drive from Taupo to Rotorua. The short easy 80 km drive has several stunning locations to explore on route. If you have flown to Taupo collect a rental vehicle for your trip to Rotorua. You can easily return to the rental car company in Taupo due to the short distances involved with both Taupo and Rotorua airports having excellent connections to Christchurch.
