The Old Post Office Guesthouse is an historic old building circa 1903. On entering, look down and you will be standing on kauri planks milled in the Kaipara. You will also notice the hollow in both the front doorways worn down by countless feet. There are four guest suites.
Evening meals can be pre ordered but must be requested two days in advance. GF/ DF and vegetarian options available.
Matakohe House Bed and Breakfast is located on the Kaipara Harbour, it is only metres from the ever popular Kauri Museum and on the way to the largest Kauri tree standing the giant Tane Mahuta “Lord of the Forest”. The property is surrounded by a large, covered, sun-drenched deck overlooking picturesque blooms and water views. The B&B has four bedrooms with en-suite, a communal lounge used by house guests which is both functional and comfortable with Sky Tv and a kitchenette where you can help yourself to tea or coffee and a treat.

MATAKOHE HOLIDAY PARK is a great place for budget motel style accommodation or to pop up a tent. There are many choices at the Мatakohe Holiday Park. There are family sized motel units, studio park motels, standard non-ensuite cabins powered and non-powered sites.
