Vehicles and motorcycles are not permitted on the sand dunes or reef. Please protect the natural environment for future generations.

You may take your vehicle on the beach, you can drive at low tide around Shoal Bay and further to Blackhead. Be careful with tides and follow where others have driven.

The beach is classified as a road so vehicles do need to be driven according to the road rules.

On the beach pedestrians and children have the right of way.

Please be very careful as many people walk many of the local beaches. In particular limit speeds in front of baches where there are many children.

Speed limits are 20kph to all beach roads from the entry area and along the beachfront.
