Former Government Buildings (1940)
The Government Building (1909), Greymouth, is a majestic brick building constructed for local branches of the national government. Solid, dependable, the architecture harks back to the principles of western governance. The building is virtually unaltered and stands as a reminder of government architect John Campbell’s considerable body of buildings contributing to the story of government architecture.
