Gregory McDonald (Chiaroni) a Southland born artist has re-opened Invercargill’s original art gallery.
Chiaroni Gallery was established in Dunedin by Ambrogio Chiaroni Snr. His nephews Ambrogio Jnr and Mansueto joined their uncle in Dunedin and Mansueto, Greg’s great grandfather opened Chiaroni Gallery in Invercargill in 1873.
The Chiaroni Gallery represents the finest of the established and emerging Southland artists.
