The high standard of top 10 is reflected in the campground. beachfront apartments, motel units, cabins, glamping, glaravanning, powered and unpowered campsites. The question is when is a holiday park a resort and Ohope Beach is definitely in the running for a kiwi version of a beachside resort. There is a children’s programme, extensive playgrounds, board and kayak hire, a surf school and a junior programme.

OPOTIKI HOLIDAY PARK
Opotiki Holiday Park on the banks of the Waioeka River. accommodation ranges from park motels to cabins and spacious tent sites, we have accommodation to suit every style and budget. There is a swimming pool and playground. The campground is adjacent to the river and estuary with the wharf nearby. There are no hire facilities within the campground however nearby Opotiki there are several tour operators hiring kayaks, SUP and snorkelling equipment.
MURPHY’S HOLIDAY CAMP – MATATA
Murphy’s Holiday Camp – is a classic beachside location owned and operated by the same family. Six classic cabins and 2 self-contained cabins are available for casual use, each individual expressing their own style. They are randomly scattered about the camp. The cabins range from 2 – 6 berth, all containing fridges, stoves, hot & cold water and a fully equipped kitchenette. The self-contained cabins also include a toilet and shower. Powered and non-powered sites virtually sitting on the beach.

Welcome Bay Hot Pools and Tourist Park another hot pool complex with powered and non-powered sites. Visitors can obtain specific entry to the hot pool complex. The Welcome Bay Hot Pools and Campground offers 24 powered camp sites, as well as comfortable standard cabins that sleep 2-6 people.
