PERMANENT EXHIBITIONS AT MUSEUM & ART GALLERY OF THE NORTHERN TERRITORY
- Cyclone Tracy was a disaster. On Christmas Day 1974 80% of Darwin was destroyed with 66 deaths. The sheer terror of a natural catastrophe is vividly captured with the sound of a category 4 cyclone.
- Exhibition – Transformations is an interactive space outlining Northern Territory’s evolutionary journey. Kids will be intrigued by the megafauna and the deadly animals of the region.
Look out for SWEETHEART – a preserved massive crocodile who terrorised boaties and savaged dingoes.

- Colin Jack-Hinton Maritime Gallery is a drawcard for all age groups. Maritime links with Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Oceania Islands narrates a seafaring story. The traditional canoes, outriggers and sailing vessels brings into focus the interconnections between mainland Australia, outlying islands and the Pacific.
