Are you an aviation buff? Then you must visit the Darwin Aviation Museum. You will gawp at the enormous B52 Bomber dominating the space. There are original Mirage and Sabre jets, a Spitfire replica, Orion P3-C, Wessex and Huey Cobra helicopters.

Other exhibits include engines and armament as well as many photographs of Darwin at war, pioneer flights and record breakers.

Are you on a self-drive holiday pop into Adelaide River (town) located on the Stuart Highway.  Cemeteries are sombre places with Adelaide River holding the only Australian war service cemetery in the country.

The graves of  434 servicemen and 63 civilians killed in the Top End are buried in the military cemetery.
