Enjoy the day at Chelsea Heritage Park and take time to join a factory tour. The Chelsea Sugar Factory took 18 months to complete and was built using one million hand-made bricks. These were made out of the clay, which had been excavated from the site.
You will get to wear high visibility vests in a neon pink, Chelsea Sugar’s branded colour. It’s fun and you definitely get to find out heaps of interesting facts about the manufacturing process for sugar and sweet liquids such as treacle.

What a great place for a cafe. The cafe and kids playground overlook the Waitemata Harbour with the skytower as the city landmark in the distance. Towering decorated cakes, artfully iced cupcakes and an assortment of brunch goodies makes for a delicious foodie treat in a picturesque setting.
